Our History

Noffke Lumber, Inc., in its present state, has withstood many changes over time. Starting in 1934, Henry A. Noffke Sr. originated the company under the name "Noffke Fuel" whose sole business was buying and selling of coal. This later evolved into a coal and ice business with lumber being added to the product mix in 1946. It wasn't until after Henry's two sons bought the business (Henry Jr. & James) that the name changed to Noffke Lumber, Inc. At this time, lumber and millwork were the staple products of the company.

The family business expanded through the years with locations being opened in Oshkosh, Menasha, and Waupaca, Wisconsin. Henry Jr. subsequently retired, passing the business on to his four sons.

While Noffke Lumber, Inc. has adapted over time, its main goal has always been to give the customer a quality product at a competitive price while supplying the best service. Noffke Lumber, Inc. truly is "a yard of good lumber"!
